Design thinking has become more than a professional framework for me - it is genuinely how I approach problems in everyday life. The habits built through years of research, iteration, and validation have a way of quietly shaping how you observe the world, ask questions, and work toward solutions whether you are at a desk or not.

As a designer I hold myself to a consistent standard regardless of the size or scope of the work in front of me. Every project deserves the same rigor - the same curiosity at the start, the same willingness to challenge assumptions in the middle, and the same attention to craft at the end.

On this page I will walk through my design thinking process and share how I apply it across the work you see in this portfolio.

Overview

My Process

Good design starts before any tool is opened. It starts with understanding people. Through user interviews, behavioral research, and stakeholder discovery, I build a clear picture of the problem space before moving into solutions. That foundation shapes everything that follows.

From there, ideation and wireframing bring structure to ambiguity. I work through concepts in Balsamiq and Figma, moving quickly from low-fidelity sketches to interactive prototypes that can be put in front of real users. Usability testing is not a final checkpoint. It is a continuous feedback loop woven into every phase, ensuring decisions are validated by actual behavior rather than assumption.

What keeps the process from stalling is fluency in both design and development. Understanding technical constraints means prototypes are grounded in reality, handoffs are precise, and there is no translation loss between what was designed and what gets built. Detailed specs, clear acceptance criteria, and close collaboration with engineering teams keep momentum and quality intact through to delivery.

The process is end-to-end by design: research, wireframes, prototypes, testing, and delivery, with consistency and user focus held at every step.
